Thanks to TehnoMag in discord for helping with this!
• Go to your homeworld RM folder used to play the mod. (Path should look similar to this) D:\HomeworldRM136\Bin\Release]
• Look for a ZIP file named steam_api.zip
• Extract it to the folder it was in (Release)
If done, you should be able to launch 1.36 and 'Online' should no longer be greyed out.
-edit did you mean the shortcut the mod creates?
For the data folder it should be similar to this path give or take: D:\HomeworldRM136\data
Best way to verify if you're in the right place is to look for a file named 'yaoduMODCH.big'
For the path, yes it should be done in the shortcut that the mod exe creates, or the one you created yourself assuming that errored out.
how to build colony? idk why can't build resident area
I am running the 1.36 version of the game following the instructions
I could just try clean installing it and see what happens.
Alright. I did a clean install and for whatever reason its working now.
Im not sure what was bugged in it.
Edit: This seems to be "fixed" when reloading the game, though it still happens randomly. Loading a save also seems to randomly break scripting with them, and upon loading your main ship will have no addons.
