DLC lords
It seems that those who don't own the DLC cant use the mod. Therefore I will most likely update the mod to put the DLC lords back in their main fctions rather than having their own seperate faction.

What do you guys think about that?

So, to clarify, those who own GatG DLC will have choices: Karl Franz/Grim or Gelt (2 start positions)? And if we start (or try to start depending on if it works) coop campaign using DLC lords now and update later, what will happen?

Hell no, absolutely not...it's up to you but the very reason I use this mod is for the variety and awesome scenarios that are created with all of these lords against each other..I really wouldn't play the game at all without this mod in fact.

That being said that would feel like not having the mod at all.

I wouldn't think a mod should be held back to old versions of the game because people don't own it in it's entirety.

would it be possible to make the patch modulated? so people with the grim and the grave dlc would be able to have new starting places while those that don't will work as normal.

I can see how it would suck for anyone without all the dlc and it would likely restrict co op play but alternatively we would only have 6 lords with different starting locations out of the current 16 and probably no more than that buy the end tho beast men might get one or two later on but that's about it.

i concur with ThatSwoleGuy. More lord will be added later on, to restrict playing two starting position per race limits this mod going into the future, just as the base game has limit itself (one race/ one starting postion), please keep it as it is with dlc lord separate from starting postion.

PS: i dont own GnG yet, i will buy it depends on how the next update goes so i can play coop with friends
I think it would be fine to have the GatG dlc lords to stay in the same faction because the vamps vlad is a van carstien and the empire guy would be the religious figure head. But at the same time if you already have it working its up to you if you want to change it. The main problem comes down to if you want to make this mod for the base game or for people wanting to buy the dlcs. Either way their should be a mod for both but you shouldn't be the only one that should have to do it.

Fair enough. Relaistically by doing one compatible with vanilla the only thing people miss out on is one DLC lord being his own faction instead of sharing with another lord. That's one faction. I don't know statistics on dlc owners but surely its better to get more people playing over having an extra lord on the map?

*Then again I would be biased as I don't have the DLC*
