Regarding DLC factions
So is the intention to not make this mod work with any of the DLC factions, present or future? Because I feel like, if this mod is meant to be something workable for the game's lifespan, that's going to become a bigger problem the longer this game is out. Like, right now it's two factions this mod isn't compatible with, roughly 33 percent of available factions.

As more DLC factions come out, we're going to be looking at a mod that's only compatible with a small fraction of the game; not sure how many DLC factions are intended, but I'd assume at least 4 total, which already puts us at only having this option for half of the factions.

It would seem to me that you'd be better served to make this mod compatible with DLC factions, but restrict it (or those separate versions of the mod) to people who have bought the DLC. I believe that's an option in Steam? I know I've seen it with Skyrim stuff.

This is to no fault of your own; I assume balancing content like this with a game that continuously adds new content is kind of a tenuous place to be in legality-wise, but I feel like there must be a more elegant solution than just only having this mod be compatible with what will eventually be less than half of the available factions. Are you in contact with Creative Assembly at all/do you know where they officially stand on this?

I don't know how to mod stuff, but is there a way to make a mod only available, if a certain DLC is owned? That way you could leave this mod here for the base-factions and create different smaller mods for each of the DLC-factions. Making them alltogether working as a mod-pack for maximum joy :P

Unfortunately, based on what I read in another thread, it would appear Magnar just kind of isn't invested enough in this project to go to those lengths. Which is understandable; this is a free mod, and he's under no obligation to create content. Magnar said he doesn't even play this game...the only part that irritates me is Creative Assembly did state pre-launch that this would be a mod available at launch, alongside the "conquer anywhere" mod, and it seems disingenuous of them to make that statement when in fact a single independent modder who may or may not be invested in having this be a complete product is developing said mod.

This really should be a feature in the un-modded game, honestly, and it's just kind of sad CA doesn't seem to see things that way.

CA should realy just incorperate this into the game, so we can play it as soon as any DLC drops. some factions are going to need to be dubbled up so say if kimmla is in garst is out. they might haveto do it for everyone so there is an equle number of lords. the empire could pertentuly have a lord on each state, and if they were to unite it might make the chaos invashion look fairly trivial.
