scale the hellcannon its stats and unit number are the same on any size setting and this leads to over proformance on small and under proformance on ultra.

From some of my tests and mp battles (not campaign, but mostly same ignoring the upkeep and research investments) I'll make a little list of what Iv'e found,but first a note on combat mechanics:

-Theres a bit of a problem with the stun, and knockback combat mechanics, being a very important factor with monsters and special characters fights and not being specified on the stats chart. Esentially its a very usefull "skill" that some units posses and will make them absolute unstopable in any 1v1 fight. That said I know it's very hard to mod or start adjusting units for very specific fights, it just explains why some big size creatures are doing better than others. Example: Arachnarok spider beats almost anything in 1v1 by not letting it retaliate.

-Empire spearmen and swords are very powerfull for their cost, and will beat the hell of most monsters without routing.

-Dragon Ogres are not cost/effective, they should be stronger.

-Demigryph knights are either to powerfull or cheap, i think the second, since its one of the best units in game, beating every other.

-Trolls one of the most useless unit ingame, need more morale and even a bit more damage I think.

Yes, noticed the same for Dragon Ogres and Trolls, although I am aware that Trolls have this special "feature" that their drawback is low morale. Since I want to keep it compatible, I can't really change unit costs, but other stats are easy to do as long as the unit is balanced to their vanilla cost. Trolls might get small damage and HP buff, same for Dragon Ogres (one of my fav units), for starters +5% to their HP and damage should be ok, I will see how people will respond to it.
the best choice with the hellcannon may just be tweaking accuracy and splash because I can get over 300 kills with the mortor (mainly for its ability to reliably fire into combat) and maybe 80 if I'm lucky with the hellcannon 30-40 if I'm not.

To be honest, I had exactly opposite results xD Even when playing against the AI, Hellcanons are the most fearsome artillery I see on the field. Still, I will in time add more tweaks to artillery overal.

I agree trolls have to be easy to rout, but right now its overdone, just played a battle on very hard (+morale for enemy) on your mod, where 1 unit of my orc boyz, engaged undamaged trolls unit, killed 2 and routed them, trolls did just kill 20 orc boyz. They didnt had the huge charge impact theyre supposed to have if they rout fast, neither was realistic to see them loose against a basic unit

Oh and chariots are sadly useless, not sure how to fix this, they are supposed to stay on move, and have a bigger impact/stun on target, I think for now maybe some increase in charge, and damage?

Had a siege against Empire. Demigryphs surrounded for a good 5-10 minuts by Grave Guards. Sure they are not the counter to demis, but they are one of the most OP unit in vanilla. What are your plans for them?

Haven't decided yet. but from what I remember from other posters both here and in vanilla game, demis are probably single best unit in the entire game, like there isn't anything stronger 1v1 xD

Yes that seems accurate. They are a strange unit, as they are a cav that does not need to rely on a charge to be efficient.
yeah hellcannon can be scary like in vanilla if I control its firing since I can hit 98% of the time cause its guided I can get a good 200 kills which is worth the price so maybe have the AI have accuracy akin to doom diver or slightly less maybe hits 3/4 shots, I never actually found them that scary maybe on harder difficulties where that moral damage can hurt a lot.

Odd thing is that Hellcanon has the highest bonus to accuracy in the game files. It might be due to very low flying speed, I will up it more.
