Chaos Invasion - Tweaks

First of all: thanks for your efforts!
I really appreciate your work.
To give you some feedback:
Vanilla was way too easy.
Even on legendary difficulty i was able to annihilate archaon and his dirty norsemen.

So i tried a mod which increases these values (and some more) to something like this
-- mid game | late game
-- easy, normal, hard, very hard, legendary
ci_max_num_hordes = {{6, 6, 9, 12, 15}, {8, 8, 13, 15, 18}};
The invasion started at a later date than in vanilla though.

Well that escaleted quickly, and it was a mess to hunt down all the raiding armies.
Still i think you could increase the numbers of chaos spawns a bit, probably just on hard/very hard/legendary difficulty.
I suggest to let the invasion begin 10-20 turns later on though to keep the amounts of enemies managable.
By the way: Is it possible to increase the movement speed for all your armies for like 5-10% somehow, when chaos event kicks in? Relying on ambushes and agents to hunt down small armies is a strategy which might not really work against dozens of chaos hordes.

So the Mod you tried, did spawn too much Hordes - on what difficulty did you play it?

Of course i would raise the Invasion date from 50 to 75 and the end game from 100 to 125.

10 % more Movement Range? I could think about that, will lead of course to a faster Gameplay, as i generally think the Movement Speed is way too slow in this Game.

Armies moving from Bretonnia, that wanna fight Chaos, take sooooo long for the AI

Just started a campaign with your mod (and a couple others but nothing that should effect when chaos should spawn) hit turn 78... no chaos. Other mods are either combat tweaks, spell tweaks, or additional units, and regional occupation off.

Edit: Just realized that sounded really accusatory and it wasn't meant to. Just wanted to see if you could point me in the direction of the issue if there is one. I really like the mod as I mentioned in the comments section for it.

There is a Timer between and after the Evens from 1-20 Turns, so just wait a couple more Turns.

I dont mind, its your Time, and the Question was not bad - you are wanting to enjoy a Game and if a Mod screws a Campaign, i would be pissed off, too :D

so the chaos invasion will start turn 75 ? cuz i am turn 72 and im pretty sure i have the required Empire level ( all imperial territories plus border princes )

I really like this mod but can you make chaos armies more menacing and diverse? even on very hard difficulty armies often have low tier units like morauders and marauder horsemen, maybe it is better to replace thos units with chaos warriors and forsaken units. I several times beat chaos armies with units which had very low AP damage, so that was kind of odd as against chaos you usually need lot of AP. Chaos spawn units are nice but around 80 turn you probobly wont have any problems with those units. Maybe it is better to include more dragon ogre shagoths in armies. during my 2 playthroughs as empire I have never seen those units, and I have extremly rearly fought with chaos giants and chaos knights and armoured trolls. Even Archeon's and Sigvald's armies are kind of bland. Sigvalds army felt like random chaos army full of low tier units.when I compared there was no difference between his and some random chaos lord's army. Speaking of Archeon I think it should include highest experienced chosen units to truly feel that you are fighting against lord of end times. On the other hand I liked that you included more chaos menticore units. It really plagued my ranged units. So anyway that was my suggestions. Thanks for your mod and keep up the good work :).

Since the last Weeks i really buffed Archaon, Sigvald and so on - so i guess your Playthroughs were before August?

And the first Wave is too strong for the AI if i give em high Tier Units.
