Stormwater transfer between Districts
I'm just looking for some advice here. How do you transport storm runoff from one district to another? I haven't done a lot with the mod yet, but from the description and my limited experiments, once the underground tanks are full, runoff will be sent to any drains within the district. The problem is, what if that district is in the middle of downtown and doesn't have any direct access to a river or lake to place a drain? Do I have to build canals to transport stormwater around my city, or is there some trick that I haven't thought of.

Bear in mind, I haven't actually tried using the districts so far, at least not for anything more than keeping my industrial runoff seperate from the rest.

Right now, the idea I'm brainstorming for this sitation, assuming the canal is the only option, is to build a central canal that will border most of the districts within the city. That canal will then run either to a river or retention pond outside of town, where another district will be setup exclusivly for pumping the retained water out to the river or ocean. This might be kind of difficult to design, especialy since I've never worked with canals, either, but it's the best solution I have come up with in theory.

Any inlet and outlet that aren't part of a specific district is part of (default) district 0. So basically, have some 'overflow-handling' inlets able to take the water away, that aren't covered by districted zoning, as per the guidelines.
