An Extended Timeline version would be neat to see if you're willing to go and take time to create something such as that as I've noticed from testing with Extended Timeline that some provines are any/all which looks pretty bad.

Why not modify the sea tiles map and use them as provinces until you can divide them up into thousands of others?
