you actually need to turn your engines on with the jetpack key.
soo u cant just have 2? or less then 6? darn also try it in space dint work
but yeah, make sure the CoM is lined up with the nacelles if you want it to not spin like crazy
if your rotors are spinning, it might be a couple of things from what i can think of.
1. your timer isn't running the script constantly
2. you are on a p2p server. there is something about the netcode on those that doesn't work with my script.
not sure why, but if you tell it to show CoM it will be covered by blocks. this makes it a lot harder to do anything with the CoM although it is still possible. i had to cut holes into the Deterrent to see the CoM.
to show CoM you go to the info tab, then check the box to show Centre of Mass

When I first started everything up on Mars the rotors spinned like crazy. I then went to Earth and the Alien and the rotors stayed relatively stable and ever since that it now also works on Mars. I am not sure why. BUT, even though the thrusters do keep me in the air, they don't put me at 0m/s. I am constantly moving forward at 11-20m/s and I am also constantly moving upwards a bit. If I press %deccelerate, the craft actually seems to speed up a bit in a similar motion. And when I press%accelerate, the craft slows it's motion by a few m/s, but it never comes to a full stop.
I am impressed that pressing W actually moves the rotors to accelerate me forwards more, even though I don't have the control mod in this world.
ok, so the upward drift means that you are either in creative with it set to survival, or you are in survival and the cargo multiplier is lower than your world setting.
as for moving forwards, i have no idea. are you using a gamepad or mouse&keyboard?
replace the workshop program with this:
http://pastebin.com/7DCMRPd2
it should print the movement vector out in the menu of the PB
idling, it should be [0,0,0]
