Noticed and will be working on it.
As for myself, I do not expect to have 20 great buffed generals. I am just been tired of looking at the default Asian general portraits and names that do not make sense when there could be tons of different generals that do exist in the history.
I know it seems like a lot to ask, but I really like to have couple of more generals that can make the game more fun to play.
Also I am getting the same problem as someone else earlier where I established my nation before the civil war event. (which happens in 1946, which I think can be altered to just happen soon after the end of war with Japan instead). My country name stayed Communist China.
Nice mod by the way! I am not familiar with mod development but I will be happy to offer help should you ever want to do Chinese localization.
Yes, you will no longer be a subject of Japan when the civil war breaks out, but the civil war won't trigger unless there are no Japanese occupied states on the mainland, which doesn't really connect to your export to Japan.
Would you mind to elaborate more about the scenario?
I steamrolled through around half of the Kuomintang territory already when they finished their Yangtze Partition focus: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=831395027
Mao didn`t even conquer a single state for himself before that partition happened.
There probably should be a check on the focus to avoid such a thing.
Edit: No such issues in the second playthourgh of my game.
It seems though that in the latest version the Japanese civil war event is broken. I took all of their mainland provinces and puppets as Nat. China a few times now but no event. Or maybe the mechanic changed?
Sorry about that, it will be patched in the next update. Thanks for reporting it.
