I'm pretty sure this is based on the USSR and not ww1, but it does resemble German uniforms.

sooo... The mercs find a time machine and go back into WW1 where they have to fight their way through different heritages and eventually fight the TFC team and when they beat them it creates a rift in time and everything that happened in the comics is now irrelevant because TFC team is ded and everybody lived happily ever after. ♥♥♥
