Real Zombies are Zombies that are actually loaded in around you. If you kill one the number will go down by one if a zombie comes into the area you have loaded in, it will increase by one.

Zombie density is a Zone stat that dictates how densely populated the current zone can be.

Chunk is part of a Cell, the entire PZ world is made up of cells and cells are divided into chunks.

The map is also saved Chunk by Chunk so the number you see there can be used to identify in which save file that area is in.

Current Zone just tells you if the part of the map you're in has a defined zone property. For example, if you're in a zone called forest or deepforest (deepwoods? Can't remember) then you know you can Forage.

Real Zombies are all zombies that are fully loaded into the area you're in. It's all of the zombies that you could physically see and interact with at max zoom out + 3-5 chunks that are loaded in but you don't see without holding Ctrl and moving the mouse in some direction.

There are two types of zombies in PZ. Real Zombies and Meta Zombies.

Real Zombies are the ones you see, can attack and try to avoid.

Meta Zombies exist in unloaded parts of the map in some basic state that doesn't take up much memory or processing, they can be attracted into the area you're in by some events (Like sound) becoming real and interactible.

I wish I remembered which ancient mondoid had this described way better than I could.

well, i found one.
is there a way to have corpse removal and blood removal brush on at the same time? it'd save having to go back and forth

I could either merge them or have "R" key execute both when one is enabled. Personally prefer the second solution what do you think?

i can't decide if i should make a new thread for further questions or just keep asking here, what would you prefer?
if i use the Survivors mod brush, can they be spawned as friendly AND already joining me? or must ask them first? i commented about the Epic Battle mod in the mod support request thread too

Ask away.

You'd need to ask, I can look into spawning allies. I haven't played with that mod much so Idk much about it.
