Or maybe it was an AI at some point, and then it became controlled.
Otherwise it sounds like a mod issue - played several hundred hours and never have seen this bug outside of user error

Running Dynamic Recon Ops. Solo. And my Character, whom I started the mission as, will stop immediately upon taking damage and heal himself if he is carrying a FAK
Everything else about this AI mod is absolutely amazing. This one issue is however pretty game breaking.
I just failed a mission because my character, that i started playing as btw, just started healing IN FRONT OF AN ENEMY!
I think it's because in single player, you're essentially controlling an NPC. So for example, Vcom is like "Oh hay, this AI unit is hurt, he needs to heal" and doesn't realize it's the player. Because it'll do the same thing with smoke grenades and sometimes even regular grenades.
Now mind you, this is more of theory than anything, there could be a different explanation.
