BUG REPORT
Post bugs here, so i can make this mod better. Please tell me which relevant other mods you use if you can.

the perk ballistics verst has no effect, i gave soldier a plated vest and a nano suit but none of them seems to prime the perks effect.

Hello, thanks for the report. Was this in tactical? because you will not see it in the soldier stats display. The tank does it become only in tactical. So if you equipp him a vest there stands 0 armor but in tactical he should have +two armor points.

yes its tactical and i found the issue, actually your perk description is misleading! the perk comes to effect if your equip EXO or WAR suid alongside plated vest.

I will look into it. It should work with each equipped vest. Also with basic nanoscalevest.

I can confirm that it does not work currently with nanoscale vest. I am not far enough in to test out other campaing. It does not show up in both tactical or armory.

Hello, i have tested for a long time and i cannot reproduce this. The only thing i can imagine is that you may also use other mods which are changing something on vests or slots. Also try out before the mission start to unequipp and euipp the vest again (maybe this helps?). The perk should only work on nanoscale vest, plated vest, hazmat vest, stasis vest, hellwave vest and custom vests from other mods. It is also independent to the equipped armor. The equipped armor does not effect this ability. Only the vests. the armor bonus will not show in the soldier layout but it will start in the beginning of a tactical mission. Also make sure you have the latest files of this mod downloaded. you can use the modtroubleshooting guide. Thanks

I, indeed, have a few mods install. There are a few mods I suspect this may caused it.

1) LW mods
2) Grimy's Loot Mod
3) mods everything
4) Ammo And Vest Slots

I understand it is selfish of me asking you to make it compatible with other mods, but, if you have the spare time, could you please look into it?

Hello it should work with the long war mods. it should also work with grimys loot mod. (do not forget it only effect vests, not armor like basic kevlar armor). mods everything i do not know and ammo and vest slot could it be the most. the basic function of the ability is give the soldier two armor points on tactical beginning but only if he has a "defense" item in his "utility" slot. I will try my best to make it compatible if it is really ammo and vest slot. what you can try is to equipp your vest not in the "vest slot" from the ammo and vest mod, instead put it in the utility slot and tell me if that works. thanks

Can confirm it works with Long war mods!

I have only been testing ammo and vest slots and the following is the finding so far:

1) Nanofabric doesn't seems to work alone but when used with exo suit it gives the extra 2 points.
2) XCOM T-shirt (a vest added from ammo and vest slots mod) do give extra armor
3) All other vest also seems to work indepdently
4) Without ammo and vest slots, nanofabric also works indepdently

Hopefully these helps, thank you for looking into it, the class is great fun with only this skill not working properly all the time for some odd reason.

EDIT: I have gone back to non-test save and now the XCOM T-Shirt doesn't work either.
I am not sure what is causing it. I will keep playing the campaing and hopefully I could give you more hindsight into this problem.

EDIT2: It seems like all I have to do is re-equip my first ultility slot to XCOM T-Shirt (ie. equip grenade then change that back to XCOM T-Shirt)

Even with this method, nanofiber (or nanoscale vest) still doesn't work.

Thanks for reporting. So if i understand you, it works well without ammo and vest mod. With ammo and vest mod it only works if you also equipp an exo suit?

Yes, it works well without ammo and vest mod (for me, not sure about @JiMMy

When ammo and vest on:
1) with my current tech tree, nano doesn't work without exo
2) mod added vest works even without exo but sometimes need to be re-equip before it actually works
3) all other vanllia vest also works without exo but sometimes also needs to be re-equip for it to take effect on the field.

To help narrow it down, the Nano vest does trigger the extra armor iIFFFF you are not wearing any of the upgraded armors such as carapace and titan. I was using the nano vest to trigger it but when I unlocked the carapace armor it no longer had any effect. I deduced this conclusion from my experience and the above statements.

it works by putting the vest in your first utility slot . the better armors later on offer an additional storage dont make the mistake and put it in any other than the first slot.

This isn't a big deal, I thought I'd mention it for the sake of consistency, but the animation for team shield seems to be slightly bugged. The shieldbearer enemies have the same animation, but when they slam their first into the ground, it causes a rupture-looking effect, where as ours don't.
