UNSC Radio Calls...
- Regular Artillery callouts with different icon
- Paradrops that could remain the same (drop by pelican if you want to go overboard)
- ODST drops, drop by destructable drop pods that provide temp. cover
- Spartan drops, same thing as odsts but better
- Spec op Spartan Drops
- Vehicle drops could remain the same just reskin at your leasure.
- MAC round ability (3000 rp)
Covenant Radio Calls...
- Plasma barrages
- Larger drops for the same cost as regular with mixed troops (grunts, jackals, and 1-3 elites)
- drops would consist of 8, 16, & 24 with once again regular drop animation or dropship
- Vehicle call downs though reskin and code in seperate physics at your leasure
- Cleansing Beam which streaks in a direction of your choosing for 5 seconds (3500rp)
Flood (optional faction) Radio Calls...
- Spore drop (infection forms) which is paradrop with 16&32 melee only units
- Vehicle call downs are just stronger and larger flood variants
- Spore Barrage (2500 rp)
- Barrages are with non lethal rounds that turn npcs/ players into flood
Insurrectionists Radio Calls...
- Uprising (2000 rp)
- makes unsc marines (not odsts, spartans, covenant, or player) fight for the insurrectionists
- Regular barrage choices
- Vehicle call downs are limited to light vehicles (different color unsc vehicles)
- Paradrop units run in from off screen instead of paradropping in
- sizes are 6 and 10 as they are slightly weaker than the UNSC since they have no spartans
- Underground (3000 rp)
- perminantly establishes an underground tunnel that allows you to instantly travel between
locations
- establishes an entrance and exit and cannot be moved but can be destroyed (covered up)
- can only be used by the insurrectionists
These are just a few ideas that I had, again take it with a grain of salt because you are only one person and you more than likely have a job or two.
Also, any new versions of Spartan Armor would be welcomed, including the Spec Ops being avaliable to players :P
But nice job regardless of whether you add this.
The largest issue tho, is making models. The coding isn't rough. Just simple INI editing. I work and go to school, so models is just an extensive project. :C
However, there is variation of spartan gear (tho looks mostly the same) that's done, only dif is paint atm. but not in game yet. Special Stealth gear is done and in game, but not avail to player. :)
Spartan M7: A hi-tech reskin of the Beneli, using the same in-game sprite (altered if you wish) and an altered HUD one. It has 16 bullets as opposed to the M4's 12, and has higher bullet speed.
Also, if depending on the difficulty of weapon spriting, you could reskin the XM8 to be gray, and slightly increase the accuracy to make aforementioned Spartan Rifle.
to make new skins, that's slow process of voxel editing, or basically making an image pixel by pixel.
hmm, a grey xm8 would be easy (there's a white one for winter maps i believe. if not, it's only on my variation) .. i could make a new xm8 w/ increase aim, but haven't felt the "need" for it. Thought of adding a few guns, that would be less "op" but didn't see the need as most people like the OP guns, or just will avoid them.
And yes, i can use other modders stuff in mine, just need to 1) get permission. 2) modify to mods to fit. example, if i added the "running with dead" zombies, i need to modify a few files to make it work with my mod.
The modified Beneli and XM8 aren't that much, I just thought it would be a nice thematic change, especially since its not as hard as making new weps.
I was wondering if it would be possible to add the Shock Vest item from RWR Reloaded. The dev of it has pretty much said he was done making the mod, and I do not think he would object to you using it (probably). It would be a nice way to bridge the gap between Vest II's and Mjolnir armor (maybe rename it Marine Armor to fit in better).
