Autoshutdown?
I've been having some troubles with my bots simply running out of power and then deactivating. For the cost of the robots, this is incredibly annoying as I haven't found a way to re-activate them. So, perhaps as a simple workaround, the bots could return to their charging base either when

1) They are below 5% power
2) They don't have any other tasks

Even being able to designate a charge time would be better than just letting them deactivate.

This was a bug and should be fixed in the newest version (0.17.5).
Normally they automatically go recharging when they are < 30%.

i still have the problem sometimes (but well its still anoying, because the bot stays broken), . i belive it is cause when they are dedicated to a long task such as hauling soething across the map or crafting a work intensive item. (bloody cost iintensive hauler IV ;_;)

could you add a repair bench or at least the option for haulers to return them to their own station for repairs?

and one addiditionla problem regarding this is that the disabled bots arent considered dead and wont be hauled away, because there is no stroage area for them

I'm seeing this too. This is the fourth time my cleaning roomba just gets disabled randomly.

A manual -but cheaty- workaround is enable dev and god mode, then debug the station to restore the bots.

I observed that many bots are going to be disabled on time intensive tasks. My builders and crafters are dying very often. My kitchen bots are nearly not dying at all.

It would be nice to add a task for a colonist to carry the bot to the base station where he is recharged and starts again....

I feel like a good temporary fix would be to not let them "die" when they run out of charge, but just move at 10-20% speed until they reach their recharge station (like robots in Factorio).

This feature could then be removed later when the proper solution is ready to be implemented.

Yes please, I had a couple cleaners in my barn and they all randomly decided to run out of battery so now i'm out 300 steel each (+component cost)

I've reworked the recharge code.
Now they should force go back to their station <10% charge as long as it is allowed to go there..

Good, if that doesn't work then I think the idea Temarka had would work, if they run out of charge they don't die but move super slow.

I am having issues still, it seems some of my bots get stuck on a tile containing an industrial roller anbd stopping my automation. The only way I have found to move the dead bot is to either get some one to buy them or trick the pawns into moving it by building a production table over its tile.

The disabled robots can be found under robots in the storage list.
