Hearts of Iron: New World Order
Women in Workforce
The idea of including the impact of women in the work force is greatl. However, the feature does not contain any downside or trade off. Putting women in the workforce is a huge social change and as we see even now expanding women in the work force has a lot of opposition. If you put women into the workforce such that production increased by 20%, you would see a major increase in unemployment. Lots of men would get mad that vacancies are going to women. So there's a potential for reduction in national unity. Generals might retire in protest if women started serving in armed forces or morale might go down. I don't see this as being much a problem if player only creates women's auxilery corp. In 1940s men were not training to become nurses so including women wouldn't really have a downside for men, and indeed might even improve troop morale. There needs to be some advantage of women being at home. Even though not in workforce women who were at home were still really busy. Maybe, manpower growth would go up if women were at home. At home women mended clothes, churned butter, etc. so maybe there's less need for civilian factories if women are at home.

If you have a women's auxilery, it might mean that field hospitals were more efficient. Maybe, women auxilery would increase trickle back rate for divisions that also have field hospital attached.

We already plan to nerf many of those laws in our next patch, as well as make them a little more diverse than "Get this and then make your way down the tree.

The next patch will take more time than usual though, Cabinets in and of themselves are a very large project even as we have worked to cut things back for an initial release

Female auxiliary forces should not be restricted to communist nations, i.e. there were about 500.000 women in the Wehrmacht. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_in_Nazi_Germany#In_the_army_.28Wehrmacht.29
