Shek warriors?
How do you recruit them? I always just get the one word insult response with no dialogue options.

Just in case you didn't see it in the comments, only a Shek can recruit another Shek but even then it requires a LOT of talking to them. I've had Shek's starve to death before they've even given me the dialogue option. You can still get the dialogue option as another race, but selecting it still results in refusal anyways. You can get Shek's from Dust Bandit's or some will accept being hired (some not all) at taverns across the map. In your case, just grab one from a Dust Bandit group and offer them food, seems like your best bet.

Shek generally require the recruiting PC to be 'stronger' in most stats than them (supposed to be a 'why would i join someone weaker than me' pride thing) hope that helps :-)
