how on earth do you win? ive savescummed so hard trying every choice but nothing works, any tips?

The options you choose have an impact in the calculations, but there is a lot of randomization involved. For example which spezification (armor/shield/drives) is used in the current calculation round. in each round the weakest roll is disqualified until only one empire remains. You can have the best tech and still be unlucky with your dice rolls.
