Add engram for one more trough into the mod. Keep the current one with default range and add another one which will be the same except with increased range (and possibly higher crafting cost). Then everyone can choose what he/she needs. There could be even third trough with 3-4 foundation range useful for fish-eating animals.

There seems to be a divide in the group of users of this mod. Some like default range, some like increased range. Personally, I like the increased range, because I use this mod to remove the grind of animal maintenance and the increased range makes this even better, because I can check one trough once in a while instead of five or whatever troughs. My base is big and I didn't even notice it prevents resource spawning. I didn't have a single issue with the increased range the past two months, but I understand someone might like the smaller range. So why not add another trough with increased range as a seperate item? Then everyone can choose and everyone is happy. There could be even third trough with smaller range. That could be useful for fish-eating animals.

I don't really understand modding, but I suppose it might be a little bit difficult to give us item option or server option to change the range. However, it cannot be so hard to add another item to the mod. We had a trough with default range, we had a trough with increased range. Why not have them both?
