I thought I was getting ahead a little running crystalwings I found early, but no... I've bred them up and they do produce useable materials, but I have to babysit them so I don't lose the entire hive before I can put in another queen to breed up the start of a new generation, and then I also have to helicopter the microscope for all the random new queens I get.
As far as I know, having run several kinds of bees now... it never gets better than this. I don't expect to be able to fully automate all this, but what it is now is just... painful. It definitely does *not* respect the player's time.
