IT is possible to make both work together with no major issues in the interface, unlike what is said in the incompatibilities section of their discord server.
However depending on the order you subscribed to, they may not work immediately
I solved it myself by unpacking the content.pak of the workshop download ( folder "211820\729726478" )
then you need to move the unpacked files to "Starbound\mods\Weapon Stats"

at that point it worked for me, if it still doesn't you'd need to add a "priorities" : X
to the _metadata file

EDIT: X should be a number between -1 to 99 but even 1000 should work fine.
start by trying -1 & 99
