You can still get the furniture in different colors with the console and the spawnitem command. Make sure to get all the ' and " right or it will not work! You can copy text from outside the game and paste it into the chat to make things easier.
The item will be placed at the location of your mouse cursor, so move it somewhere where you can reach it.

Open chat and enter /admin to activate cheat mode
Enter /spawnitem ID amount '{"color":"X"}'
(Enter /admin again to leave cheat mode)

Examples:
/spawnitem bed1 1 '{"color":"blue"}'
/spawnitem okeamagmabookcase 1 '{"color":"pink"}'

Working colors: default, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, pink, black, white
The items will not look colored before they are placed.
