How to make the mod work in 2023
As you can see up and to the right, the mod was last updated in 2016. For the non-mathemagicians among us, this was 7 years ago.

Now that everyone is having a slight existential crisis that 2016 was 7 years ago and not 2, let's get to the MEAT.

Functionally, this mod works fine on modern versions. The two major issues people seem to be having are one, the mecharachnid falling through the floor, and two, the mission being messed up.

How to fix it falling through the floor:

- Make sure your summon area is as flat as possible. At least 20 tiles of completely flat terrain seem to maximize its chances of not phasing into the backrooms upon being deployed.

- In case it still falls, keep an eye on what it does as it is deployed - if its legs start clipping through the floor, hit the controller again and unsummon it, then try again once it is gone.

- Make sure you have a decent framerate. Turn v-sync off and limit the game's FPS to 60 through an external program instead.

- Make sure your mods aren't causing cascading server lag, visible through stutters while walking around your ship (for instance).

How to fix the mission:

- Once you've killed the Mecharachnid, proceed to the right hand side of the arena. Once there, type the following sequence into the console: "/admin" and "/settileprotection 0 false". This will disable the arena's protection.

- Select your MM's wire tool and unlink the door's red input node, allowing you to open it manually.

- Type "/settileprotection 0 true" and then "/admin" again.

If you follow these instructions, the mecharachnid should deploy correctly and the mission should be completable.

Another question I've seen asked is what the wreckage is used for - you need it to craft a replacement controller if you lose your first one.
