Bugs and issues with version 1.5
These are issues that we're actively working on and will be fixed with the next bug-fix release:
  • Looking at issues with Left Behind pawns never spawning during gameplay

These are issues that we're aware of but not sure what we're going to do about:
  • You can change the count and remove pawn possessions from the equipment screen, but there's no way to add new possessions to a pawn. Possessions behave a little differently than normal equipment (random stuff, random quality, etc), so it's not clear how best to handle them.
  • When using the Humanoid Alien Races mod with Biotech, sometimes appearance customizations don't work
  • We could be doing a better job with Biotech and modifying genes properly as you change your appearance
  • We made some improvements to the Traits panel, but it can still use some work

saving characters as with installed health modifiers (archotech legs as a example) doesnt save the changes. name randomizer also does not work.

Seems when a trader shows up and you go into the trad menu the HUD disappears , shows up if hold ALT. only started after i installed prepare carefully

Tried without any adicional mod (besides Harmony) and custom xenotypes dont seem to work. If you save a pawn with a custom xenotype and load the same pawn the xenotype does not apply, can be manually done though. Game-made xenotypes don´t seem to have this issue

Using Prepare Carefully 1.5 with Humanoid Alien Races (and Pawnmorpher) breaks pawn generation, it even breaks the Hugslib log LOL, that's an achievement!

I get the following error when loading my modlist.
Failed to patch EdB.PrepareCarefully.PanelAppearance: System.Exception: Parameter "customPawn" not found in method System.Single
Not sure if this is an issue with this mod or with some kind of incompatibilities with my other used mods.

This has been happening to me too! And I only just subscribed to Prepare Carefully, so it's not that. Are they modded zoological or livestock traders by any chance?

This has been happening to me too! And I only just subscribed to Prepare Carefully, so it's not that. Are they modded zoological or livestock traders by any chance?
sooooo i tried this a few times. happens over when i hovered over a schematic in the trade menu. so i went into dev tools and REMOVED said item from the map. doesnt do it. so not sure if its a Prepare carefully or if it items. so later or if someone like to run a test,

Run a map with a schematic start like other stuff, steel, wood, food etc. with and one without prepare carefully, spawn a caravan and see if the hud disappearss when u hover over it. im heading into work so i wont beable til tomorrow.

I haven't played with Prepare Carefully on yet, that's how I know it's not the problem. I went to reddit for advice, saw that P.C. was updated, came here to subscribe and then saw this thread.

I also got this error, I will also say I found gradient hair is specifically causing the issue for me, and it seems to also be in your modlist. So it seems to be a conflict with gradient hair.

@Blackouto000 Can you give more details about what you did to trigger the error? Do you have a lot of other mods installed too? Which of the expansions? Biotech? I tested it with those mods (Humanoid Alien Races, Pawnmorpher, HugsLib, Vanilla Expanded Framework), and it works ok for me when I try the pawnmorpher scenario and add new pawns. I must have something set up differently in my test than what you're doing.

@Clayfire @Siegfried0 I think Gradient Hair is trying add its custom UI to the panel in Prepare Carefully but since I changed so much with the 1.5 release, it's not working anymore. I'll take a look to confirm, but they will may need to fix that on their end.

@Corizan @leprosyandacid Thanks for the description of how to reproduce the problem. It's possible that adding schematics using Prepare Carefully triggers the problem. I'm curious if adding a schematic as a scenario part without using Prepare Carefully also causes the issue. I will take a look.

Released 1.5.2 to fix the following bugs:
  • Implants/bionics are saved, but they are not added to the pawn when you load a character or preset
  • The name randomizer button doesn't do anything
  • Sometimes when you click an apparel item in the Apparel panel, it doesn't show the color selector in the window that opens. You need to select something else and then re-select the item to get the color selector to appear.
  • Custom xenotypes are not loaded from saves
  • The clear skills and reset skills buttons don't work

Thanks for the bug reports. I'm looking at some of the other reported issues.
