v1.3 Rimworld?
Since I know from experience sometimes the Steam Alerts don't contact mod creators when comments are posted I decided to create a discussion for this: Will RimWorld version 1.3 be supported? If so, about how long can we expect the update to take. If not, can you identify what "glaring issues" are preventing the update?

Use the Character Editor mod and if you want to change the resources you start with, there's a vanilla option: edit your scenario.

The Vanilla option doesn't give the same level of start control as EdB Prepare carefully, and tbpf - I don't even know this "Character Editor" mod, and I assume with such a generic name there are several.

Hey, I'm looking forward to a 1.3 upgrade. I have used Character Editor in combination with Prepare Carefully for a long time. Character editor allows you to modify pawns in game which is a key feature for me. I always delete the pyromaniac trait because there is nothing worse than a pawn running around starting fires.

What is the difference between Character Editor and PrepC?

@Torgranael Character editor allows you to edit pawns in game, so if a pawn joins your colony you can make changed to them. You can also use character editor before you start a new game, but I prefer PrepC.

My guess is that there's some mechanism about customizing DLC content like belief or something being developed

If that is the case then hopefully someone else picks it up. Character edit is up-to-date and is an okay substitute for the time being.

Maybe so, maybe not. It depends on whether the advertised Ideology perk of "Selecting your Ideology at the outset of the game" is as true as it first appears.
