When i tried to start a new game i had the hivemind patch mod active. It caused prepare carefully to have an issue. I located this issue quickly with the dev counsel when i was making a new game. I removed the mod and it allowed prepare carefully to work again. The link to the vivi hivemind mod is below.

This mod is able to be added back into the game safely when the colony has already been put into the game but will need to be removed when starting a new game.
