How start this from a shiny new character? (like, after you boot up the ship A.I.

i would not advice starting this all the way from the start, as I'm not 100% sure it will not have negative impact later in the game. Wait until your first upgrade to the ship has been done at least. but after that, check the mod description, and look at the spoiler text to see how to spawn in the npc, and finish the quest without actually having to go to the space station

ok, well, i went to the outpost, went straight to the outpostundersideman, and did the quest, and, it somehow worked.
