1) Check the base games files are upto date and not corrupt.
Disable all mods and join a 'mod free' server. If it works move onto step 2), if it doesn't work : https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

2) Check you've got the correct mods and are enabled and in order (no more or less)
Goto the mods list and use 'c' to move a mod up the list. Uk short ovals at the top,then Kizzas track pack, then Carnage Track Pack and Online Bangers:Wreckfest last

3)Wait for the server to verify your game files
On the multiplayer server list there is some small text on the bottom right of the screen,wait until this has reached 100%, otherwise you cannot join any server. Once its completed, press refresh and attempt to join

4) If all else fails, one or more of your mods is corrupt (either from messing with files,or steam not downloading correctly)
Goto \steamapps\workshop\content\228380 and delete these folders ; 788849742 (Uk short ovals), 740683245 (online bangers : wreckfest),964655407(kizzas track pack),1263139819(CarnageTrackPack). Then head back to steam work shop,unsubscribe and resubscribe to the mods. This will give you a fresh install.



1)Right click wreckfest in steam library list,click properties and then local files.
Click 'set launch options' and type -disable_mods then press ok.
Relaunch the game and then reverse the process (remove -disable_mods launch options) to enable mods again.

if its still not working....

2)Search your local hard drive for modlist.mods, its often located in \Steam\userdata\YOURSTEAMIDHERE\228380\local\wreckfest early access.
Delete the modlist.mods file and relaunch your game



1.Right click wreckfest in steam>properties>updates tab
2.Click disable cloud saves
3.Goto my documents/mygames/wreckfest/'STEAMIDHERE' (long number)
4. Delete the file that is written in the error message

If the file isnt there, remove the entire folder.

Any error with "save/" in it is fixed the same way.

This is caused by a corrupt 'part' of the car. Disable the Online Bangers:Wreckfest mod, this will clear your save file of all cars and parts. Then enable the mod again,buy new parts/cars.



This is caused by a missing part on your car.If you cant find the missing part, disable the Online Bangers:Wreckfest mod, this will clear your save file of all cars and parts. Then enable the mod again,buy new parts/cars.



Quit the game after purchasing a car, you should be able to tune (gearbox etc) after reloading whilst offline.



This is because of dual mapped controllers. Head to settings>controller and unmap keyboard or whichever input you arent using.
