Darkness bug
In my save, when dusk comes, instead of becoming the pitch black that I believe it is supposed to, everything turns a shade of purple. It is very odd. I was wondering if anyone else was having any such troblems, and if there was a possible solution. Amusingly, this is also in a save that not only has constant combat music forever, but I also had to dev trigger the naming event. What luck. :steamsalty:

EDIT: Correction, it only turns a shade of purple during dusk (and maybe dawn as well), and then turns to what looks very much so like vanilla levels of darkness.

Oh wow i totally missed this. So yes, dusk, depending on the current weather ( Indigo/darkpink for clear weather, red for dry thunderstorms, ect) , briefly turns the world a shade of a color to mimic twilight in real life. I'm not sure where you live, but here in Florida and Maryland, as the sun dips below the horizon the sky turns a variety of colors. Sorry for the mansplaination. I get that in the real world that the light that hits the ground isnt purple but I can't show the sky so I have to make do with the ground.

I haven't NOT used this mod since A15 but if my memory serves correctly, vanilla does a colorized dusk as well. I probably just do a much heavier version of it. Which now due to this message i'm rethinking. Perhaps i'll leave the color alone but brighten dusk a bit?

I wish steam would have alerted me to your message here; it totally did not and I apologize for that.

Its all good, I got used to it in the end anyway. And its not really all that much of a problem, just something a little weird for this North Cackalacky (NC) resident. Here it just gets darker, although the fact that I live in a rural area might have something to do with it, now that I think about it. Either way, thanks for the response at all, still love the mod for the fact that, if nothing else, it makes me remeber to put down lights in new mountain rooms. :steamhappy:

I'm glad to hear that. Well hopefully this new patch works for everyone as well. If we want to get extremely sciency about dusk colors I should point out a couple things. The color of dusk on a given planet is a measure of; planet's size (& curvature to a lesser extent) , atmosphere composition, elevation, and the eyes of the percieving organism. Sunsets would be a heck of a lot prettier if we could see ultraviolet light like a butterfly or a reindeer can. Given that we're on an earthlike planet of variable and potentially smaller size, a lot more blues could be seen. If the planet were larger, then we'd be restricted to just oranges and reds.

I am having this issue as well but it doesn't go away on fully dark instead having an overlay of purple casted over the whole map, as well as the darkness being roughly the light level of vanilla.
