Yeah I am having that same problem. I can not seem to promote my companions to leaders ether.

If you have high intelligence you can have high engineering and surgery. That let's you move from planet to planet and conquer them very quickly without casualties slowing you down too much. It sucks but it's probably the only way to do it without vassals

I have taken a couple planets and many outposts, and they still don't recognize me as my own power, and refuse to make peace

So no way I can make my companions a Vassal/General?

Well,you can but it has to be a type of trooper,mandolorian,wookie etc.So it cant be a sith you have to have LOTS of renown to recruit commanders.

I think you did not understand what I was saying. I have Luna Novar as a companion. I want to give her land. Yet I can not. At less I do not see the option to do so. I do not have an options to send her out to gain right to rule.

I can hire random npc to my empire. Yet I do not care about them. So I do not want to give them land. They are just there to make an army and fight.

Well sorry,pal but you cant give them land,but you can turn them into a padawan/apprentice.

Companions in SWC dont work like those in WB. You cant give them land to rule and you cant make peace with anyone. Reason being is that player was not intended to have own faction in original MB and sadly this is the same for SWC WB since it is a port. While player faction system exists it is incomplete.

I do not know. I rmember playing it in MB and having peace with the other factions. Maybe I am remember wrong. Though I hope the person who ported this over is still working on it. Maybe they can fix this.

I think that peace dosn't really happen between factions which I think is a good thing because the rebelion and the empire wouldn't go to peace with each other. It almost seems it was made to be that way.
