Your Stories
One of my favorite things about the mod is hearing about how it impacts people's colonies. With the new release, this is likely to be very significant! So please, use this discussion to share the neat and interesting things that happen in your colony. Tell me about any noteworthy colonists. Tell me about interactions between them. Tell me about your elections. Share screenshots.

A small story.

Guerrero, a geologist-turned-raider, has been sitting in my brig for some time while I try to recruit him. He has foot cancer that keeps him in pain, plus a smokeleaf addiction I'm weaning him off of; I need to keep a close eye his mood to prevent breaks.

He was in my brig when the first death occurred at the colony. Crica the tender fell dead from a single shot, a hole in her torso so large you could put a fist through it.

Not only was she youthful and useful, she was sister to another significant colonist and bonded master to two beasts. Small beasts, but it still made the post-battle cleanup more complicated. After the literal and metaphorical fires had been extinguished, we all collapsed into bed.

We forgot about Guerrero, alone in the brig, hungry and hurting, listening to the sound of gunshots outside the wall and then silence with no news of what happened or who was involved. And, well... he hadn't had a joint in quite some time.

He broke. Paranoid ramblings. Marched up and down his cell for hours, shouting terrible fears with no one to hear but me. My colonists all ignored him and went about their business; in such a state he clearly wasn't receptive to their care. There were no other prisoners there with him to be worn down by his mad rants. He couldn't escape through the double steel doors I'd built for just such an occasion.

So I listened. I listened to him say that they were all playthings. I listened to him cry that no one was watching out for them. I listened to him howl that "they" were coming to kill us all.

I listened.

I hope he'll feel better.

One time, the Kinsey scale 4, polyamorous Kuma-chan cheated on her boyfriend Ren with the stiletto assassin 9.95. It was the last straw for Ren - he finally broke, and wandered waaaaay outside Jade Rabbit Garden. He was thanklessly mining some compact plasteel in the dark, and it was just too much for him.

At that point, a tortoise turned manhunter, and it started making a beeline toward Ren. The dread pirate captain Becky and Kuma-chan ran out to make sure Ren wasn't eaten by a cannibal tortoise (he was, after all, one of Jade Rabbit Garden's two doctors).

Before the pair even got past the turret line, the base got raided. The tortoise was right in the line of fire of the raider group's spawn location, along with a group of animals so dense that it resembled the beginning of Bambi. A raider, whose identity will never be known, fired a Doomsday rocket, which presumbly hit a deer. The whole raider group died in a flash.

The tortoise, however, was unharmed. Becky was full-blown cyborg, sporting advanced bionics and cybernetic parts in every possible limb and organ, so she caught up to Ren fast. Before she could arrest him and bring him home, a psychic ship drops right on top of the tortoise, setting it on fire. Instead of responding peacefully to Becky's attempt to restrain him, he goes berserk. Becky knocks him out with a single blow, and drags him home.

The tortoise died of burn wounds. Ren later married 9.95 in gay marriage. The psychic ship lasted 10 seconds when Becky came back with the rest of her crew. These are our stories.

Mostly i start on Rich explorer cause then i can give my one hero some good stuff like a sniper rifle. My hero named "Abjorn Borgesson" is a ex-marine/mercenary which makes him my killing machine since he has high stats in melee and shooting. He also has an bionic arm.

Shortly after giving my hero what he needs, he drops in for landing. (I swear the first thing i checked was if he wasn't gay which he luckily wasn't) And i order him to make a little home in the rocks which he finishes in 2 days. Shortly after that all the colonist pour in to the colony. And Abjorn quickly gets a girlfriend called "Kit". What Abjorn didn't knew however that she was cheating. After Abjorn found it out he finished his job and wen't to the common room to "relax" where he encountered Kit. Abjorn kept insulting her until she was driven in a social fight. Abjorn basically bashed her face in with his bionic arm which ends up being fatal for her and gets away with murder. Now basically the entire colony hates him and starts insulting the poor lad which keeps driving him in social fights for about 15 days. In those 15 days he killed 3 colonists. But then he wen't beserk. He killed the remaining 2 colonists until he was alone..

Remember kids to never cheat on someone with a military background.

I was playing this with Rimsenal and the Call of cthulhu mods. It was a great combo. Lots of breaks. I built a massive mountian base, and was finaly beatting back the hordes of tribes and monsters. Things are going well until my head Acult researcher Toby goes totally nuts. starts schemeing. Toby is a nice person but gets bullied alot for being kinda nerdy. Now we respect her, but this wasn't our first time dealing with someone who witnessed the horror of the gilrmor. We have two gaurds out side her room at all times with (hopefuly) nonleathal wepons. This goes on for a day untill a massive investation kicks off in a indoor barn, slaurgtering our livestock. Well I guess we deal with this now, we are in a bloodly war with the damn bugs when I failed to notice Toby sneaking grabing a assault hammer. In this battle our head chef Brigs, a vital part of our team was shot in the head. He's bleading out, so we rush him to the hospital and patch him up just in time, then its time for more indoor war. We wrap that up and I notice Brigs has a X on his hud icon. I look at his health. His head was gone. Smashed by a blunt wepon, and Toby was much happier to have saved the colony.

Now what to do with Toby?

Thanks for the mod!

Love this story! I'm happy to see that mental break play out perfectly like that.
