Mini-Dispenser

Mini-Combo
Considering the Mini Sentry only works from the gunslinger, might I suggest the Mini Dispenser only works through gunslinger as well?

Good Idea!

Yeah, and it could take less metal to build as well as less time.

nah i think it should stay pda and give the engi more speed, and we nead a pistol to build a mini tele and give more dmg so kind of a selfish/annoying engi

They should be kept separate, to prevent Engineers from being restricted to one place by building an Engineer base. There is no need for a mini Teleporter as the regular one is already very small compared to other buildings. There should be no restriction on the gunslinger to also use the Mini Dispenser, either, because mini Dispensers are replaceable while LV.3 Sentries are not. A pistol that provides speed is equally useless; the Engineer has a standard move speed, meaning that the only classes faster than him are the Medic, Pyro and the Scout. Please put more grammar, spelling, punctuation, and thought before posting these atrocious crimes against Team Fortress 2's theme and game theory.

if you do add it with the gunslinger its should cost 50 metal

But what advantage will the PDA provide for the user other than the ability to build mini dispencers. Im sure there has to be some advantage there.

Added melee damage?

I find this Idea Perfect

I think additional melee damage would be very balanced, but also a 10-15 health boost maybe?

OK, so, here is what would happen if they made its there was a new PDA and the gunslinger still existed: mini sentry building, mini dispenser building, +25 health, some percent of added melee damage, and an additional 10-15 health? An engie with 165 health? If that was what you are going for, I'm ok with that. HOWEVER, I'm pretty sure every non-engie player would call out OP if that ever happened, for reasons of "Engie is supposed to be a wimp that hides behind his buildings in able to be helpful and that's it! It's bad enough that he has a melee weapon that makes him able to do more damage with a weaker sentry and that gives him more health, it would be even WORSE if the engie was even less dependent of hiding behind his buildings with a quickhealing dispenser that builds fast and has less health to be less OP AND gives him even more health to compensate!!!!". So yeah, good idea, but everyone will hate it because they feel Engie is supposed to be the team buttmonkey.

Why would there be melee damage for a PDA? I mean if it was added to the gunslinger, I could see why the extra melee damage would be useful but if it is added to a new engineer PDA, why would the engineer need melee damage?

No.

As a Gunslinger user myself, I can say that the Gunslinger should not also force the player to use the Mini Dispenser alongside the Mini Sentry. While it only seems to make sense at first to pair up the two, remember that the whole reason they developed the Mini Sentry was so it would use less metal, allowing you to place both a regular Dispenser and a Mini Sentry at once, speeding up initial production.

I mean, don't get me wrong, the Mini Dispenser looks fantastic and I would definitely support adding this (and maybe even use it), but I think players should be given a choice to equip which Mini-building they want. Mini Sentry with Dispenser is far from obsolete, and I don't think a regular Sentry paired with Mini Dispenser would be obsolete either.

^This man preaches the truth. I thank him on behalf of all the intelligent Engineers left standing.

I see the point of both sides of this debate. Both sides have good points, but also kinda selfish goals. Engineers should be able to choose. I love support engi more than ever, but I think if we make this take up a weapon slot it would end up angering people and many would not use it effectivly. We need a mechanism that allows it to exist without a weapon slot being taken up. I am considering a new PDA as a possibility, then it would solve many conflicting issues.
