i loves yours creations for unturned life server : )
Reply if u think this is a crazy good idea or crazy hard idea
Also love your mods expecially this one. Ive been waiting for placeable tents for a while.
A small storage shed (Similar concept to the Tarp but made out of wood)
Anyways, I have a few vanilla esque suggestions, as well as some rebalancing ideas.
- Colorable tents. Using cloth and flares to recolor small impromptu tents like base game furniture.
- Camo variants. Replace the base leaf texture covering on the wooden frames of the small storage tent and stick shelter with 2 types of texture variants. The first being made from the leaf texture from wood type used in crafting, and the second using a few more sticks and some rarer tool/weapon, like a military knife, to make an impromptu ghille cover. This way a player doesn't have to put a ghille netting into something as fragile as a stick shelter, but could still benefit from an on the spot camo shelter. (Explain the recipe as either Green for PEI colors, Olive for Russia, and so on)
- Tent upgrades. Craft earlier tents like the Tarp Tent or smaller Storage Tent with a few more base materials and a higher crafting skill (or agriculture skill if possible) to make a slightly upgraded version. The tarp tent as an example could be converted into an arched roof variant without making the model's size bigger, to allow for easier bed placement inside, and the smaller storage tents can be crafted into a lean to that can easily cover a bedroll inside.
- Footboxes, smaller lockable storages that use a combination of metal and wood (or solid metal for the best variant) that is cheaper and smaller than a crate, with less storage space, to stick in the smaller space of the tents and still allow room for beds or other objects.
- Snowbanks, basically a pile of snow done up like a sandbag that's much weaker for impromptu cover. The Shovel is already used for the snow Shelter, so this could certainly benefit from using it too.
- Camp walls. Because plates look like garbage when used to line a small covered camp. Could be crafted with sticks instead of logs, be around the size of a large plate, with supports going up between horizontal sticks. That can't be flipped, only rotated on the ground like the barbwire fence.
- Spike walls. Basically the camp wall crafted with a bunch of spikes to make a wooden variant of the barbed wire fence, but obviously weaker than it. Mainly to help deter wild animal attacks on camps, or to help keep zombies or players held back for as long as it survives.
That's just off the top of my head, hopefully some part of this inspires further awesomeness from this mod.
