Neutering Animal With Scars On Genitalia Doesnt Remove Scar

Pretty much this female moose crash landed in a pod and i saved her
After noticing scar on genitalia ive decided to neuter her thinking it would remove scar

But it didnt..
Is this intentional or no?
Ive had pawns with scarring on genitalia that ive replaced it and it removed the scars.
