Other than that pretty much everything you said is the direct opposite of what i would said to describe this helmet. I always strive for aesthethic compatibility, It's probably the reason why all the helmets i've submitted were accepted. I analyze the key design feature and try to replicate the aesthethics with relevant background as the base design while at the same time giving different design so players can experience more variety. DE even state within their guidelines that a too similar item is prone to rejection.
This helmet was made based on Unicorn helmet with a mix of knight helmet in relation to Oberon Deer Paladin theme. It's actually the least modern, least high tech and the most organic helmet i've made so far. The armor surface was made to look like the surface of oak tree just like Oberon's armor. So i really can't see how you can perceive this helmet a high tech helmet at all. And Oberon's width came from its Deer and goat's horns, something like that is not appicable when you're making something based on a unicorn.
You consider that majority of workshop items are not fitting for warframes, yet they got accepted and not through vote or anything but hand picked by the developers themselves. So has it occured to you that it's probably your own perception that doesn't fit warframe?
I think it augments the style quite nicely.
People who make things like this make me wonder how Mynki keeps a job.
(Though I have been wrong before. So don't beat me down to hard master)
It's written in the FAQ though
How are submissions chosen?
Submissions are chosen by Digital Extremes based on quality and creativity. We will consider the popularity of skins as deemed by the Tenno, but we will be making the final call on what we add to the game.
