Sid Meier's Civilization V

Sid Meier's Civilization V

R.E.D. WWII Edition
When Paris is captured on the europe 1939 - 1945 map the game crashes
When Paris is captured by the german forces on the europe only 1939 - 1945 map the game crashes. The crash is inevitable and the map was meant to be stable. Is there a way to get around this? I've got quite far in and spent a couple of hours playing, it'd be annoying to start again now. I've reloaded and ended my turn three times and the crash still occurs.

I am far into the game now, it would be a great shame to have to start over.

On the world map, same problem with Paris. And Copenhagen does the same as well.

If you crash on Battle of Paris, your PC is probably on the fringes for R.E.D. I myself have a pretty high-end PC, and Fall of France still crashes for me. Turning off scripted events really kills the immersion and how it was meant to be played too, which makes it even more of a buzzkill. Turning off scripted events will at least allow you to play it out though.

With the IGE (in game editor) that you download via workshop, you can use the "capture" function. Then the scenario will continue as normal. It seems that there was a bug with the "Fall of France" script, and therefor it worked for me:)

For those with this crash using the new version of the mod (v39), I need your help here:

thanks to a community effort, last version (v.40) should have fixed that (but it's not compatible with saved game made with versions before v.39)
