Most of my other mods consist of strictly customization mods and weapons. I'll list them below:
-[I'll omit the weapons mods... there are many]
-E3245 Extended Material Library
-Music Modded System *
-X-Com Enemy Unknown Soundtrack
-Deus Ex Soundtrack
-Blood Dragon Soundtrack
-Capnbubs Accesories
-Destroyer's Female HairPack
-Destroyer's Female Face Pack
-Fix Deadeye Penalty
-Full Character Customization From Start
-Less Gravely Wounded
-More Hair Colours
-More Armor Colours
-ShowMeTheSkills
-Military Camouflage Patterns
-Free Camera Rotation (also, not working correctly)
-Gotcha! Flanking Mod (also, not working correctly)
-Long War SMG Pack
-Long War Perk Pack
-MGS4 Frog Armor Pack
-More Nations Mod
-[A Selection of Mass Effect Characters and Voice Packs]
-Symmetrical Kevlar Arms
-Female Vale Armor
-Second Wave Reborn Expanded [this is unhecked as I thought I might be the cause of the problem]
My problem is that the Custom Music will not play. The ONLY custom music that plays, is during the intro (menu-screen) it sometimes plays custom tracks. All of this worked fine, and then I installed a mod that omitted the custom music. I blame Second Wave Reborn Expanded, Long War Toolbox (now, unsubscribed), or some other big, game-changer.
I desperately want back the custom music -- Once you've played XCom 2 with these great, custom tracks there really is no going back [to the XCOM 2 OST].
The game is bought through Steam, and works fine. I have Windows 10 Home Edition. My hardware is not the issue.
Do you have any ideas?
1. Delete your config folder in My Docs\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config and let the game regenerate them again
2. Unsubscribe to the MMS and resub to it again.
3. Reinstall XCOM 2.
That's the only solutions I've come up with so far.
I tried unsub- and resubbing the content; it did not work.
Then I tried to delete my config folder as you suggested.
This sems to have worked, thank you! :)
And while music works fine for pretty much all situations, with combat music it only plays for two of my music mods, specifically the Deus Ex and Fary Cry: Blood Dragon music mods.
I have not heard the combat music for any other mods or the vanilla combat music. I've deleted my config folder but that didn't do anything to help either.
Any help would be appreciated thanks.
Some packs define music for specific Missions, and these will override the packs that don't define them for specific situations. I should probably add an option to allow for these to get mixed in too...
reinstall the game? or did you mean the mod?
E3245 did the former and it helped.
@Chaon
Update is live, option is in.
Every time I start the game, I have to quit to desktop and delete the config-files again. What is going on?!
I've also noticed that the Halo CE music pack wasn't playing any music before or after the mission and it reduced the lag/stutter/load time. Can the music pack impact any negativity against the mod or is this something else?
We play music in a different way than the vanilla game, and if the game lags, our music lags too. This is very noticable in loading sequences. People tend to think the other way around, that our music makes the game lag more, which it shouldn't really.
So, every time I start-up the game from Steam, the gameplay mods are not working (including the music mods). In order for the mods to work like normally, I have to exit the game and delete my config folder inside my MyDocuments/Xcom2 - folder. I have to do this every time I want to play Xcom 2 (with gameplay mods), and it is becoming a nuisance. Can anybody give me any advice or helpful tips to counter this?
