How do you tame the Manticore?
We tried to tame one yesterday, used about 600 shock darts with mastercraft longneck rifles and its torpor was only 1/8th full. Am i missing something? It was level 84 so not that high...

don't let it get stuck, make sure it moves around every once in awhile

is that the trick now? let it move around? cause before we were able to trap it and able to tame it. im sure we deal torpor damage cause it display it on my screen along with hitmarker. and we using a buffed 15cc dart gun mod. usaully takes only a few. now it dont even go down. lmk.

server admins complained to me that players were trapping it in buildings to get a free and easy tame, it was bad for server balance. so i added a method that checks if the manticore is stuck in one place for too long, then it won't gain torpor from hits until it moves a slight distance again.

a good way to tame it now is to have someone carry you on a flyer while you shoot behind at it chasing you both. remember to shoot its head for max effectiveness, it will flinch slightly if you succeed.
it can't move very fast so i'm sure you can outrun it easily.
