So don't use them... easy solution. Alpha wyverns are actually quite useful if their buff stays disabled.

What do you mean if their buff stays disabled? The solution shouldnt be to not use the dino because its buggy and the hitbox isn't what it should be. If it's buggy it should be fixed if it were possible.

I have 5 or 6 alphas and none of their alpha buffs are currently enabled. The option to enable/disable is there but I've learned from past experience to leave it off as it usually glitches and cannot be turned off once enabled and it makes flying the dino difficult in 3rd person view. Not sure what you're talking about; I still use the dinos all of the time and their increased HP comes in handy at times.

Take a regular wyvern and an alpha wyvern. Fly to someones base who has turrets. Get as close as you can with the regular wyvern without getting shot. Now try getting to the same distance with the alpha wyvern. You will then understand me.
