Finding the Manticore

On the server I play the settings are at default for the mod according to the Admins, But after killing the Manticore once, No one can find it again, We have had 3 people sinking hours into hunting it but no luck, Is this a bug or is the Manticores spawn that rare?

Also does it spawn in a certain area or anywhere at random??

I had notice when I play the Island, you'll have to kill many wyverns to let new Manticore spawn.
