Manticore Tame Impossible?
Today a friend of mine and me tried to tame a manticore on our server. The level of this Manticore was 270.
Our strategy: One was riding a wyvern while he was grabbing the other one. We flew in circles around the manticore and shot it with shock darts and a red longneck rifle. We shot around 400 shock darts right into his head. sometimes he did a weird " hit animation ". I dont know if he has any big resistance against torpor but normally my red longneck deals 5000 - 6000 torpor.
We didnt change any of the resistance for the manticore and furthermore we already tamed one manticore at lvl 195 with this strategy. So I dont know if there is anything weird with them now.

Probably because the 270 has higher Torpor than the 195. . .

Get a better Longneck Rifle.

722% Dmg longneck Rifle + 400 Shockdarts right into his head. yeah the issue is definitely the rifle....And its kinda obvious that he has more torpor. But I am not playing annunaki or extinction where a manticore has 20 000 000 torpor...

did u make it stuck? if it gets stuck, u cant torp it after awhile. this is to prevent players trapping it for easy tames. let it free to move abit then u can continue tranq

Yeah I know this :) we didnt use any kind of trap. We just flew around it with an other dragon while the other one was shooting.

if u shoot it in the head, it will flinch briefly, that means it is taking torpor. I think only the upper body and head can be hit for torpor though, dont bother shooting its limbs or tail.

yeah sometimes he did the animation and sometimes he didnt. maybe its just that he lost all his torpor in the time he didnt do the animation. Will try it again with more darts. But thx for the answers :)

it takes 2 people shooting one, one with darts, one with arrows
