Exploding Resource Collectors
Now that the TNG and TOS access violations have been fixed for me (check to make sure AI is not blank) I want to ask about in game errors. The fact is, no mater what faction I play, whenever I build mining shuttles off of freighters, inevitably three quarters of them will explode spontaneously while gathering dilithium.
Any idea what's going on?

My theory is that there is an issue with some tuning that I did before the 50th anniversary release. The collectors were given more mass and engine power, this seems to be poorly controlled by the game though (hence the more collisions).

I'm rolling that back now, after the next update let me know how they behave

Sorry I was binge watching Battlestar Galactica XD. The collectors do not collide anymore at all. I have played throgh a few maps with different races and settings and have not lost a single collector since the update. Thank you this definetly helps a lot but I got to say I know where you were going with that added dynamic of the possibility of losing collectors:)

This sort of change makes me wonder if that's related to the Photon Torpedos missing, as well as the occasional phaser mishap. I've had Fed ships bellow huge salvos of missiles and they just orbit their target a couple of seconds before landing.

That's excellent :)

The torpedoes are "missiles" and have the missile behaviour, truthfully we've not modified their behaviour at all yet (you saw how long it took us to get the mod from where it was back to not even where it used to be). This will be something that we will look at
