A Bigger Interface

Using on lower resolutions with negative scaling
With the new UI scaling you can also scale down the UI. This will make Bigger Interface usable on resolutions lower than 1080p.

To enable negative scaling you need to edit settings.txt in "\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\".
Changing "gui_scale_min" to a desimal lower than 1 will enable you to set negative scaling.

For example:
A UI scaling of 0.65 will enable the whole mod to fit in a resolution of 1280x720.
Or a UI scaling of 0.8 will enable the whole mod to fit in a resolution of 1600x900, or with a scaling of 0.85 the buttom of most of the windows will disapear below the screen, this part is only empty space or borders, meaning nothing is really missed.

The only drawback of this is that the UI will in fact scale down.

This is an interesting idea. I really like this mod and would like the UI to reach the bottom of the screen but I find the default size of the UI a bit small for my eyes. If it was possible for your mod to scale the UI so it didn't go off the bottom of the screen when larger UI scalings greater than 1.0 were set that would be amazing. Not sure how easy that is for you to make though.

I don't quite get what youre trying to say. What resolution are you using?
No there is no way for me to change how the UI scaling works.

I have 1080p resolution. Your mod makes the character screen reach the bottom of the screen for most character screens, (really useful as the default doesn't go down far enough), however when I increase the UI scaling the screens go off the bottom of the screen with your mod, if that makes sense. If your mod detected the UI scaling in the settings and reduced the y length of said screens to compensate so they don't go off the bottom of the screen that would be awesome. Of course I understand if this would be too much of a pain to implement. Thanks for your hard work!

Thanks for clarifying. This mod is made by extending the height of the interface to utilize the full heigth of a 1080p screen. This is done by editing the backgrounds, then manually replacing the position of every ui element by pixels using notepad. This means its tailored to perfectly fit a 1080 screen.
I have no idea exactly how the UI scaling works, but in essense think of it as enlarging an image. So when you are using the ui scaling you are making everything bigger (both axis), kinda like "zooming in". With 1080p you just have to chose between using this mod, or scaling up the defauld ui.
There is no way for me to mod the UI scaling and what you are asking is way beyond what the games modding capabilities can do. Sorry.

edit: spelling
