No tales yet, but I have been feeling like doing a little youtube series on Rimworld for awhile now. But since there's already a bunch of em, why not on this mod? I've subbed to it and the related ones. I guess I'll spin out my tale via video if that's cool with ya? :conwayshrug:

Awesome! Is it cool if I also use the hospitality mod at the same time as the mods you made?

I would love to see what happens with the hospitality mod enabled with the Cosmic Horrors. What if a Shoggoth comes over for tea? xD

I was doing well then I was raided by a large group. They kidnapped everyone but 1 colonist who was incapable of violent. I slowly inched my way back up to 5 by recruiting my 2 prisoners, getting some wanderers to join and capturing and recruiting some space refugees.

I started a game with your mods (faction, monster + this one on double pop, + petfollow & hospitality and qualitybuilder and the honey mod. There is an error on startup but no side effects for now.

My first game I lost, tribal start, and I found out that you can't eat the deep ones because the 2 wargs I had as a pet became crazy, then rebellious, and ate my colonists =). I was feeling so lucky to have 2 wargs randomly... It was funny because they kept trying to feed them strange meat to "train them"... poor tribals.

Started a second game and it's better (for now). Monsters don't seem to come via the hospitality mod for now. The games seems to count them as animals (behaviour wise) and not "humanoids", and so does the mod AFAIK.

Also, I like the "insanity" debuff against the mi-goo.

Here's a tale.

Toxic fallout, have everyone in their rooms. Then a circut exploded killing everyone with fire.

Colony was lost from it

Update on my colony: I got up to 6 colonists with over 2000 berries in storage and assault rifles. I was demolishing raiders and manhnter pakcs left and right. Then an infestation occured in one of my colonist's bedrooms. They slaughtered him and dug their way to every other bedroom and killed 4 out of my six by killing hem in seclusion. It was very close quarters so I built a gladius for my colonist who was capable of violence. He died. I have about 11 heaters throughout my base. I decided to turn up the temperature to ~300F. My only colonist remaining thought it was a good idea to sleep in that so he got heatstroke and died. I survived about 2 years, most of that was spent working on finding gold for my multi-analyzer.

On extreme difficulty. Raids and poison ships and manhunter packs seem to happen in clusters with short periods of calm between them. Great deep ones are insanely powerful opponents; without gun complexes (from more vanilla turrets mod) the first attack from them would have wiped me out. Rejected every wanderer and only recruited one talented prisoner; I can't afford to have any dead weight since raid sizes are alrady astronomical. Last tribal raid had well over 30 people; I hid my colonists outisde my walls, let the barbarians in, then picked them off in small groups. Now a poison ship is outside my walls has spawned five centipedes, two with inferno cannons. My defences will not hold, and I've only got two combat-capable colonists. Every faction is hostile due to an unfortunate crossfire incident in the second season. No help is coming.

In short, a great storyteller.

Great cosmic powers mah arsse! Those goddarn Dark Youngs keep sneaking into the coop, and killing mah chickens! When next one shows, we're gonna git em!
And those stuck-up agency fools got all uppity, just becouse I got a nice stockpile of deep one leather, for shoemaking! I mean, what else those fishy basterds are good for?

Escaped vida ship, had a bunch of strange meat but I didn't know what kind of trader were willing to buy it. Does anyone know what kind of trader buys strange meat?

My story is short. The first weather event I got was the creapy fog followed by a Deep One and then a Blood Moon. I didn't even get the first crop in the ground before everyone was driven insane. Nerotic and Too Smart should be ranked with Chem. Interest and Pyro if you use this story teller....witch is quite appropriate, actualy.
