Quick and Easy How To Guide
Learning and Crafting!

1. Learn the objects in your engrams list, they require level 35 upwards same as metal parts.

2. Craft the Masonry Table located in your craft inventory.

3. Craft the rest of the building items from inside the masonry table the same way you would use the regular crafting table.

Most engrams cost 1 engram point to learn with the exception of the portcullis gate and frame, and the regular gate and frame which cost 25 engram points each.

Building parts

There are 2 new types of foundation rounded and triangular. Simply craft and place them as you would regular foundations. There is a left and right biased version for each of the rounded and diagonal foundation types, you can flip each one 90 degrees using e but to make a full circle you will need 2 right and 2 lefts :)

Diagonal walls and Rounded walls snap to all foundation types.

All building parts are compatible with vanilla building parts, However, all walls in this mod are an extra one-third taller in height (so don't worry about not fitting under ceilings if you make your character tall)

Material and Appearance Changer

Once any building part is placed in the game world you can change its cosmetic appearance by using the material change tool or the radial menu on each part.

You can find the Material Change Gun as a default learned engram inside the crafting table.
Once equipped you can cycle the material mode using reload (R), once you have selected the desired material, Point and shoot. Material options can be shortcutted to using ALT+ 1-8

Directional Glass
Once any window part is placed in the game world you can change its transparency direction by using the radial menu on each part.

Portcullis Gate (vertically raising and lowering gate)

When the gate is raised it can be lowered by pressing E on the gate frame. It can be raised and lowered at ground level via the gate frame.

25 EP for portcullis frame, portcullis, gateframe and gate. 1 EP for rest. :-)

Any chance you can make it so that if you change a part to a different material that all parts placed afterwards would be of that material? I only ask cause if i do a big project it becomes a little tedious to go and change all the parts over to the material i want.

I'm going to make a spray painter type tool for fast changing on mass, only in working prototype at the moment, wont be added for another couple of updates. :)

OMG Thank you so much. I absolutely love your work so far, but MAAAAAN is it a pain manually changing each individual piece.

Just added your mod and was wondering if this is already in/will be in anytime soon? Really great job btw.

so im using your mod and it wont let me place the keep gateframe anywhere I've tried it on the ground on foundations both the mod's and the games and it just won't place. It's weird because it shows up on the screen as green as if it will place but never does.

Are you wearing the material changer gun actively? Because when I want to place something and I have the gun active then nothing happens. Maybe thats something

I feel a bit daft, but when the material changer gun says 'no ammo', what I am doing wrong...?

It makes a click noise when you aim at a part you dont own, but it does not use ammo, Did you wake up with the gun in your hand, If so try re-equipping it, I have another report similar to this let me check how that was resolved and I will get back to you when I find it :)

Thanks, I can provide a bit more info if you need it - I haven't retested it (too busy spawning and building, thank you!!) but originally, I spawned it in on my private dedicated server after I'd put down a lot of foundation. When I pointed it to the foundations with the desired texture, it would only flash the 'no ammo' across the top of the screen, so no waking up with it, and so far, no 'not mine' buildings to tamper with. I can troubleshoot any other known bugs incase its something simple and silly. Loving the building so plenty of time to get to textures!
