How do you unlock the map for editing
Ok so I've subscribed and the map comes up in the editor section but I can't edit it because it's a "locked" map. How do I unlock it or make an unlocked copy? Also as it is a workshop map it doesn't come up in the maps folder. Please help

Guys I've worked out that it is possible because I've just done it. Well kind of... In the process I did manage to change the size of the map from insane to tiny which is a bit annoying but I also unlocked the map. As soon as I find out how to do it I'll post it here.

Simple. Rather than Unlocking the map. To make your own Insane sized map use a Hex editor and change the LAST VALUE in the line of the Level.Dat file of a Large Sized map. It should read 04, change it to 05 and save the document. Relaunch Unturned and the map SHOULD be insane sized.

It doesn't have 4 as the last character, as I said, my level.dat file for the map has this: ˘E*

Hi, and thx for the tips, it helped.
In my case i used the Hex editor plugin of notepad++. But when i did change the last value, it changed the type of the map, not the size. The one that changed the size was the one before. It was 03 on the large map, and i changed it to 04 to get the insane size.
I guess most people did figure it out by now, but i share this in case it might helps someone.

I can not find the 04 !!! there are only strange characters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Use a hex editor to open and edit the file - that's what everyone is saying. I used a hex editor but still it didn't do much help
