Left 4 Dead 2

Yama part 1
Kyle's Review of "Yama" - 5/5
Nearly perfect. 5/5 stars.

You can see and feel Yama's extremely high quality as soon as it begins. This campaign has some of the best visuals and atmosphere L4D2 has ever seen, recreating various environments in Japan with stunning authenticity. The density and detail is just unbelievable! Every inch feels like an inspired tribute to the very best of Japanese horror media, ESPECIALLY the Siren games.

Yama is very long, but that never feels like a problem because there's enough variety to take you through 2 or 3 distinct environments per map, and the level design is generally good at keeping a sense of forward momentum. Even if you get lost once or twice, you're never wandering for long because the maps flow so smoothly.

I only have three complaints: Map 4 has too many pills and not enough weapons, there aren't enough crescendo events, and the scavenge finale is a little tedious in single player. That said, if you've got two hours to kill, Yama is one of L4D2's very best custom campaigns.

That finale wasnt only hard with bots but my PC's performance really took a hit too. Still I agree that the rest is fantastic.

The levels really did feel creepy. In a sense, you know there isn't anything that's going to pop out at you besides the usual hunter or jockey but it just felt very "dreadful" but in a good horror way.
BS, Everything in this campaign is broken from big errors to pink textures.
