Not sure if it has already been covered, but I (on mac) have had the issue of starting a new game and straight off owing millions in troop wages, only to find in my "reports" that there is no real reason why, Well after much googling and trial and error i found a FIx that makes this horrible error Vanish, its as simple as copy and paste.


IM NOT A CODER OR ANYTHING SPECIAL BUT THIS WORKED FOR ME.


This is found inside your Medieval Conquest Module, In the "Script.txt"


Now what this is (see below number mess lol) Is the games wage system (in a nut shell)

Once you are in the Script.txt Find the line "game_get_troop_wage -1" not to be confused with "orig_game_get_troop_wage -1" be sure to make sure your have the right one as two results should appear once searched.


Before you copy-paste the numbers below to revert the wages system back to native, make a copy of the un-edited "script.txt" just in case anything goes wrong and you need a backup.

last step is to simply replace everything from game_get_troop_wage -1 down to the last number you see below exactly as is.

once done do not forget to save the edited "script.txt", otherwise youll boot the game and the game will still use the old one.
