FAQ & Known Issues w/ workarounds
Hey guys, I seem to notice a lot of the same questions appearing over and over again, so I’ll try to keep this updated and relevant!
Please feel free to ask any questions below! I’ll add to this list any questions any of you may have!

Current list of known bugs awaiting a patch
 1. As faction leader, your manors contain clones of yourself
 2. Arena masters are crossdressing
 3. Treasury doesn’t work (workaround for this is somewhere below)
 4. Emissaries and lords on missions never return
 5. Several lords are bannerless, armourless or a mixture of both
 6. Ladies are showing up in the wrong factions
 7. Bandit hideouts never disappear after being defeated
 8. Formations are unresponsive for some users
 9. Character names occasionally go insane (workaround for this is somewhere below)

How does the title system work?
Each faction has their own unique, prefix title system. However they all work off a similar system
 • Rank 1 - Lord owns no lands
 • Rank 2 - The lords “best” settlement is a village
 • Rank 3 - The lords “best” settlement is a castle
 • Rank 4 - The lords “best” settlement is a town
 • Rank 5 - The lord is the son of the faction leader
 • Rank 6 - This is the faction leader

For example, the Kingdom of England would look like this
 • Lord
 • Baron
 • Count
 • Duke
 • Prince
 • High Lord

The shields and some armours look weird in battle and show the wrong heraldry
Go to your camp -> mod options -> In the top left there’s two options relating to heraldry, turn them off and the heraldic armours and shields will now reflect the banner of the lord the troop belongs to.
How do I change the name of my kingdom?
As faction leader, go to camp -> political options -> change kingdom name, this works if you started as usurper OR if you formed your own kingdom.

Treasury bug workaround
Until a patch is applied, this workaround is viable.
Go to your court, fire your financial minister, weekly income will now be deposited directly to your account.
If you need to change financial settings, talk to your actual minister, hire the finance minister back, change the settings, then fire the minister again!

Character names workaround
Until a patch is applied, this workaround is viable.
This workaround can only be applied to new savegames.
When starting a game, ensure to have suffixes turned OFF, this fixes most of the bugs regarding character names.

What is the disasters system?
Disasters aim to emulate what would’ve happened back in 1257ad if an earthquake struck a city for example. There would be massive casualties and that is why your garrison is decimated.
This can also work in your favour, if you attack enemy settlements recently affected by a disaster, it’s a two way street folks!

What’s a manor? How do I use them?
Manors are mini villages that generate income in the form of goods and taxes every week.
Many manors are preformed for every town and village at the start of the game, however if you do not have a manor you can purchase one from your local settlement for 10000 gold.
To fully upgrade your manor, it will cost you somewhere in the region of 125000 gold.
When you achieve a population of around 700, you can ask the manor’s marshall to form an army, that will follow you and fight for you.
At maximum upgrade, manors produce a very high income via taxes.
To upgrade your manor, speak to the NPC inside the mini castle, on the manor map!

In your manors you may also invite a holy order, e.g the Templars, for 10000 gold.
Every week you may return to the catholic priest, and ask him to rally the brothers to go to war.
Please note, you must speak to the priest during the DAYLIGHT hours!

What’s a faction revolt?
Another lord is making a claim for the throne of a country, several unhappy lords from that country have deserted their king, taking with them their lands, and supported the claim of the usurper.
Every faction at the start of the game has an opposing revolt faction.
Revolt factions may still spawn when the original faction has been annihilated.
Revolts may only occur once per faction, and should be crushed swiftly.

How many companions are there? Where do you get them?
There are a grand total of 29 companions in this mod. 3 “noblemen” from every culture (Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Mongol, Islam and Baltic)
To obtain these 3 noblemen from every culture, you must own a village which was originally land of that culture at the start of the mod.
Alternatively, using cheatmenu will let you recruit noblemen from villages you don’t own.
There are 14 mercenary companions in this mod. These are recruitable for a fee from the menu in any major town.
When assigning your companions fiefs, the noblemen are preferred by your followers, the mercenaries are not.

Question, Where is the music in this mod from? (Specifically desert battles) I'd like to know.
Sky 15 Oct, 2016 @ 12:36pm
@Yodell.Mister I can't give you a full comprehensive list, most of the music will he from the base mod, 1257AD, I'd ask around there...

Also the new music is sourced from previously popular video games such as Medieval 2: Total War

Hope that helped

Some of the castle siege battles have destructiable objects blocking the AI's path. The problem here is that the AI doesnt know how to attack destructible objects.

This may be a stupid question, but how do you delcare war when you have formed your own faction? This seems to have been changed or I may have glitched something out.

either attack a factions lord, or go to your minister and have him send an emissary declaring war.

Intresesting, I had assumed the the first would work though I oddly don't seem to be abile to hire a minister. Do you recuit him somewhere different than the other court assistants or is it a glitch that I don't get the option to hire one?

Ministers should be hired automatically :s You can't dismiss them either
