Formable & New Factions
The mod obviously starts at the beginning of the game with 42 factions, however, the mod page states that there are 42 other formable factions. I'm wondering if these formable factions are real kingdoms that existed. Eg: rebelling against the Latin Empire and forming Byzantium as a new faction. Or rebelling against the Ilkhanate to form Turkish Beyliks such as the Ottoman Empire.

EDIT: Instead of historical formable factions are they just custom factions that the player creates with a custom banner?

From what I've witnessed so far, they are factions that once existed (pre-1257ad), or exist in the future (post-1257ad)

Could you give examples of new factions that have formed?

Eastern Roman Empire, so Byzantium.

imo they're not historical, but they make sense regionally. for example, half of the english towns and castles rebelled to the "kingdom of britannia", which didn't exist IRL but makes sense as a rebelling emerging faction.

I think the Kingdom of Britannia is the barons alliance? I think
From what I've seen, they are historically correct, in a sense. For example, the Teutonic Order had an event called the Prussian Uprising, in which members of the Teutonic Order rebelled. This is shown in the game, as in a certain point in time some Teutonic lords rebel and make the Teutonic-Prussian faction. So they seem to represent history generally, with some accuracy.
